What we believe
Our Core Beliefs
The Bible
We believe that the Bible in his both Old and New Testaments is inspired by God and that it is without error in the original manuscripts. We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God and that it stands alone as the vehicle for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. Furthermore, we believe that the scriptures are to be interpreted in a contextual and literal way and that they are to be understood and applied personally as the believer is guided by the Spirit of God.
The Trinity
We believe in one true and eternal God, the Creator of all things, infinitely perfect in all His attributes and eternally existing in three equal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and became fully man without ceasing to be fully God. We believe in His sinless life, His atoning death for us on the cross, His burial, His bodily resurrection from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, and His ascension into heaven. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for all who believe in Him. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. He gives new life to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. He lives within every believer, unites believers as one Body in Christ, produces spiritual fruits, transforms lives, and prepares the Church—the Bride of Christ—to meet her Bridegroom. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in speaking in tongues to empower the Church to be Christ’s witnesses, to testify boldly about Him, to proclaim the Gospel, and to bring souls into the Kingdom of God. We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit described in the Bible remain active and available to the Church today. These gifts are given by the Holy Spirit according to His will for the glory of God, the building up of the Church, and the advancement of the Gospel. We believe that, as the Gospel is proclaimed in faith and in the power of the Holy Spirit, the Lord confirms His Word with signs, wonders, healings, deliverances, and miracles, according to His sovereign will and as revealed in the Scriptures.
Salvation
We believe that Adam and Eve were created in the image and likeness of God and were without sin, but they fell and their sin affected the entire human race. Humans are now born with a sinful nature and separated from God. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ came to the earth and sacrificed to make reconciliation between Humans and God, and whosoever repents and believes in His death and resurrection shall be born again by the Holy Spirit and receives salvation and eternal life by Grace.
The Ordinances
BAPTISM We believe in water baptism by immersion. All who repent and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. Thus, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and have been raised with him, to walk in newness of life. COMMUNION We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper in obedience to His command: “Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” The bread and the cup are emblems of the Lord’s body and blood. Whenever we eat the bread and drink the cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. All believers who seek to walk faithfully with the Lord should participate regularly in the Lord’s Supper.
The Church
We believe that the Church is the gathering of believers and who come together to pray, worship, love, and glorify God. The Church is the Body of Christ, and its members gather to encourage one another to live in holiness and according to the Word of God, and to grow together in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Body. We believe that the Church is called to introduce Jesus to the world and to proclaim the Gospel within the local community and throughout the nations. We also believe in supporting and cooperating with churches of like faith.
The Return of Christ
We affirm the personal, bodily, and imminent second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, His millennial reign on earth, and the final judgment. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved: the saved to eternal life with God, and the unsaved to everlasting conscious punishment.
